Jordanians and foreigners.. Amman announces the number of dead and wounded in the Aqaba accident

The National Center for Security and Crisis Management in Jordan announced, on Tuesday night, that 12 people were killed and 260 others, including Jordanians and foreigners, were injured, as a result of the explosion of a tank containing chlorine gas in the port of Aqaba.

The Center stated that the Jordanian Prime Minister, Bishr Al-Khasawneh , chaired a meeting in the operations room in the Aqaba Governorate , in the presence of the Ministers of Interior and Health, the Director of Royal Medical Services and officials in Aqaba, to find out the causes of the accident and the explosion of the gas tank, and the efforts made to deal with it, directed to open an investigation into the accident.
